Barreling & Chambering

Barreling & chambering is the process of custom fitting a brand new barrel to an action. The bore is roughly indicated in coaxially with a ground gage pin and then directly indicated in off the lands of the rifling to ensure the plane of the bore is running perfectly true. We then proceed to cut the barrel tenon to custom fit the action in conjunction with the bolt reliefs, and conclude with a rough and finish reaming the chamber to the correct headspace for the desired cartridge.
